    Kids Club FAQ's

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a wait-list and if so how does it work?

Students currently enrolled in our school do have priority status when it comes to an opening. Before we look at the wait-list for candidates for our openings, we look to younger siblings of families currently enrolled.

The length of the list varies with the age group. Typically it is more difficult to find a spot for younger children due to higher enrollment in kindergarten – 3rd grades.

    What is your Child-to-Teacher Ratio?

    Ages 5 to 12-years-old; Child-to-Teacher Ratio: 10:1

Who do I contact about my bill?

Communication about your bill or St. Louis County Child Care should go to our business office. They can access your billing statements, check on balances, and answer questions you may have about your account. Please email:

DECSAR@duluthedison.com and include the following details: your name, student name, and detail of inquiry. For purposes of being able to research and document inquires, email is the preferred method of communication; however, if you do not have access to email, please call Crystal Palmer at 218-216-8961.

Can I sign my child up for days when school is not in session even though he/she is not enrolled in Kids Club?

Yes, Kids Club Special Events Days are open to all North Star and Raleigh students K – 6th grades. All events are held at our North Star location. Please check our Kids Club Calendar for our scheduled Special Events days. A flyer will be available here on our website 10 days prior to scheduled events. You may submit your registration form for these events to Kids Club or turn it in to any of our school offices.

What are your rates for days when school is not in session?

    Full Day: $35.00 // ½ Day: $ 25.00

What will a typical day for my child look like?

It is our goal to provide a relaxed pace, with a balance maintained between indoor and outdoor-time, individual or small group activity and larger group occasions. We provide a daily snack. Each group has a schedule which is followed each day in order to provide children with a comforting routine. Teachers plan activities during the day based on educational enrichment activities, taking care to provide a variety of choices to meet individual needs within the group.

    Absences/Vacations/Tuition reimbursement?

In order to obtain a stable income with which to pay our staff and operate our program, we must charge parents for care, including absences due to illness or for vacations.

Is a written notification of withdrawal required?

Kids Club requires a two-week written notification of withdrawal from our program. Without such notice, two weeks tuition will be charged.
