2024-25 Enrollment Lottery:
Acceptance of students for the 2024-25 school year will begin Friday, March 1, 2024 with our Enrollment Lottery. Any application received on or before February 23, 2024 will be included. At that time, names will be drawn to fill the available spots in our schools. Those that are not accepted in the lottery will be added to a wait list.
Letters of acceptance or waitlist status will be sent via email by the end of the day, Friday, March 1, 2024.
To be included in the lottery:
Applications must be received by our offices (or postmarked) on or before February 23, 2024.
Missed the Lottery deadline? That’s ok!
Applications received after February 23, 2024 will be accepted as spots become available on a first come first served basis.
We accept applications all year long.
Admission and Lottery Procedures
A separate application for each student is required.
Siblings of current and applying students will have preference but are not automatically enrolled.
Age requirements:
-Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024.
-First Grade applicants must be at least 6 years old by September 1, 2024.
-An exception to the age requirement may be made if the student has completed kindergarten.

Students will be accepted in the order we receive their applications and as space allows.
Anyone not accepted will be added to our waitlist.

Duluth Edison Charter Schools are a tuition-free public school. Students who submit timely applications will be enrolled unless numbers exceed capacities, in which case selection will be made according to the procedure described in the Duluth Edison Charter schools Resolution dated October 20, 1997. Students must live in Minnesota to enroll in Duluth Edison Charter schools.
